ReplyDeleteNeal Broten #9 is the only player to ever get in a fight with Wayne Gretzky #99 "The Great One".
ReplyDeleteCorrection: Neil Broten #7 for Minnesota North Stars is the only player to ever get in a fight with Wayne Gretzky #99 "The Great One" Edmonton Oilers in 1982.
ReplyDeleteNeil Broten was #9 in the 1980 Olmpics when the US beat the Soviet Union for the Gold in Lake Placid.
correction the US beat finland for the gold in 1980. but i guess you are right in that they wouldnt have made it to the gold medal game without beating the soviets.
ReplyDeleteCorrection, these posts have been about as useful as Knute himself.
ReplyDeleteCorrection: Neal Broten mis-spelled. Not Neil. It is Neal.
