This weekend NYTEX will award the Stanley Keg, who will be on top to accept it?
Of the four remaining teams the first two to sqaure of was the Bandits and the Whalers.
The Bandits jumped out to an early two goal lead and looked to be on the way to a birth in the finals.
The Whaler's had a different idea, buckled down and stretched the Bandits out and scored three unanswered goals to win the game in the third.
The second game was between the much hated Stingers and the much improved Senators.
The first period was scoreless for the biggest part as these two teams were feeling each other out. The Stingers broke the deadlock and finally got a goal. They put up a couple more before the Sens broke the goose egg and got on the board. The start of the third started out all Sneators, they got a couple quick goals on defensive breakdowns and made it a close game.
The Stingrs got a seeing eye shot past Greg Perry to put the game away late.
So, it will be the Whalers vs. the Stingers for this year's keg.
The Whalers I believe are the only team to have beaten the Bees in the regular season, so this game should be interesting.
Come to the rink to cheer, or boo your favorite team to love/hate. Then join up at Zuroma's for good food, drink and company!
See you at the rink!
This was by far the worst post ever. How hard is it to get the games right?
ReplyDeleteOoooh, sorry, I was drinking heavily at the game.... Perhaps you could set the record straight for me?
ReplyDeletePossibly, you'd like to try YOUR hand at doing the game recaps for us? Lord knows we all could use some help from time to time.
ROFLMAO!
ReplyDeleteDidn't think so......
ReplyDeleteCome back when you have your big-boy pants on and try it again.
I'm calling them the Sneators from now on.
