Right now (and I know its wickedly early) there are two familiar foes atop the lower division, the Keller Indians and 5 time Keg winner Stingers. Whalers and Jets each have 2 points while the Mud Ducks and Joes are the caboose with no points each.
This season should be a close battle in both divisions for the regular season crown. Whalers have been strong lately and the Jets made a little bit of noise in last season's playoffs, so things could be real tight in the lower division this season. Mud Ducks are new, and have many players who are new to hockey on the squad. Give them a little bit of time, after all it wasnt long ago that their upper division brothers the puddle jumpers were new to the league and couldnt seem to buy a win. Average Joes will eventually hit their stride.
Who do you think will take the lower division in this innaurgural season?
Countdown to "STINGERS BITCHES" comment in 3, 2, 1...
yes the stingers will be tough this season with widman and Briscoe back in full force. But they have played two of the lower teams so far. They will get their first challenge against the Whale's next week. So let not crown them yet.
ReplyDelete...and STINGERS BITCHES!
ReplyDeleteThe Whalers were not a team to be taken lightly the last few seasons, and neither was Keller. I'm betting that the Whalers bring everything together, take the trophy this time.
ReplyDeleteThe Joes are unpredictable; if they manage to bring it together as a team, rather than a group of individuals, they'll be able to light up the rest of their opponents. Not sure of the odds of that actually happening though. Mud Ducks are gaining experience quickly, and are due for their first win--my money is on that happening within their next two games.
See you out there!
It'll definitely be against the big three this session. The Whalers play a good team game and their goalie when he is on is hard to beat. Keller can be tough at times depending if the high school kids wear their parents jersey's that night. The stingers with the mix of the new guys and old are going to be hard to beat, and should win it all and move up next session.
ReplyDeleteThe Joes have a shit load of talent but have a hard time playing as a team at times. The Jets fall into that same category. The ducks will be like there jumper bigger brothers and take a session to get it together and then they will be up there with the big three.
My money is on the Indians
ReplyDeleteJust like in the past, the same outcome shall prevail........
ReplyDeleteFUCK the Indians!
