Time to shake things up

Time to get this blog going again. So this past weekend we had some good games. Monkeys actually put 5 on the Stingers, which i think is the most that anyone has put on them this season. But, the Monkeys still failed to win. That would have been the upset of the century. Monkeys are still lurking around on the bottom. When are they going to climb that tree and get to the top to get that elusive banana? Stingers? Well, they will always be the Stingers. Next was Rampage vs Whalers. It was a very close game, thanks to the Rampage coordinator pulling in a goalie that probably should be playing in Bronze, and especially after only playing in 1 regular season game. (i think that was stated in an earlier thread as well) So the 1-0 win went to the turned around Whalers team, and the mentally challenged award goes to Ethan Turner. The Rampage for being a first season team started off slow, then finally found some chemistry towards the end. And what's up with the gay light blue jerseys? Should have stayed with the green. The Whalers get my vote for team of the year. Going from last, to a top seed this season. Looks like Ameritrade financed some new players for them. Next was Jets vs Sens. The game was pretty evenly matched up until the first puck drop. After that, i think the Jets crashed and started a show called Lost. Sens handled the Jets 7-1. The Sens have a faster team that have learned to play position a little better. The Jets have had some problems taking off in some of their bouts this season, but i look for them to turn things around and make another run for the Keg next season with some good offseason drafting. Finally, we have the Tribe vs Bandits. This one would be the best game of the night. Tribe wins 1-0. The tribe have been treading water around the middle of the pack all season,a nd go and knock off a good team in the Bandits. How much longer will the Tribe be around? Alot of their players have moved up and on (which alot of others need to do, not gonna mention any names Stingers, oops), and they are not the dominating team that they once were. But by them knocking off the Bandits, that gives them some steam going into the next round. The Bandits were a tough team to beat this season. Can't tell if Perry is getting better, or worse, or both? Lucky for him Ivey hasn't stroked out yet, and there is a solid D in front of him.

So, lets hear some reactions to this weekends games, and whats going to happen next season.

  3. Rampage is a solid team... and I like the blue jerseys. All teams can't be red and black.

  4. Sorry Bandits #2, i was just going off of our wonderful score keeping.

Whalers #6, i was just talking the normal blog trash about the jerseys. The color is ok. But what's up with the devil sheep wolf cat logo?

  5. From team emails I have been recieving it sound like the Bandits will be moving on to the next round due to an ineligable player on the Indians bench(I am not blaming our loss on this players participation). I hate to move on that way but the rules are the rules.

I can tell you what will happen next season, adult league will be more and more marginalized to the middle of the night to accomodate the Brahmas and Jr. Brahmas.

    OPEN THE WEST RINK!!

  9. Bandits #22. Good luck with that. No one ever takes any responsibility in this league over ineligible players.

As far as the Jets-Sens game goes.

I wouldn't want to lay an egg against any other team. Terrible game fellas.

  10. We all might as well forget we ever had a west rink. Now that area is dedicated to grab ass, football, and futbol.

  15. I had so much fun playing the Stingers last weekend and it was a great achievement that the Spider Monkeys, having rattled around at the bottom of the league managed to score 5 goals against the Bees!

I hope the Monkeys can get there and compete next season and be higher up in the standings!

  19. I was looking at the Whaler's logo and got to thinking.... I hope the players aren't as ticked as the whale in the picture.... It looks like sending that puck through his blowhole is the human equivilant to passing a kidney stone....
