So the race for the top two spots in each division is on. Over in the Texan Division it looks pretty bunched up. PJ's are sitting on 10 points, however Sens, Whalers, and Bandits all have 8 points, so looks like we have a tight race.
Over in Ranger MIB has 12 points as they are still undefeated, so its really a race for the second spot which right now is between two teams. The Tribe is sitting on 7 points and Rampage are sitting on 8. Are the Rampage this years Whalers? Whalers turned things around last season, and have held steady this summer. Rampage seem to have turned things around, despite Phil Shipp's coaching.
Top two spots get to rest 1st round of the playoffs, so there is something to finishing in the top two. Who will it be
Since nytex is supposed to be cracking down on people for playing in the bronze league when they should be in silver, does this mean this is the first and last season for MIB's in the bronze league?
ReplyDeleteMIB are a beatable team, it will take a whole team playing their A game to be them, there is nothing wrong with that.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend coming, they face the PJ's who also seem to be on a 5-1 roll this season. This should be an awesome game between two of the top teams. The PJ's struggled last season, but practice every week, sometimes twice at their own cost to make them better, it seems to be paying off.
There is always going to be teams that play a little better than other teams, but you need that to make you a better team.
Viva La Bronze League!
As I said last week. MIB have not yet played the Jumpers, Bandits or Whalers. I think they will have at least one loss during those games. I have not watched them play yet but it seems against the better teams the scores were close so I assume they are definitely beatable.
ReplyDeleteSorry to disappoint, but as someone who has been fortunate enough to witness the awesomeness that is MIB...they are NOT beatable.

Is that Crosby?
ReplyDeletejust sounds like a bunch of guys that want to play in a league they can dominate instead of going against people that play at their level and run the risk of losing.
ReplyDelete... Congrats to MIB. We practiced with them at the beginning of the season and they seemed like good guys. I watched a period of one of their games recently and they appeared to be in the right league. Here's a tip for you MIB... if you start losing, everyone will love you again. Next season, some other team who puts together a streak will be the "bad guy". I think some of the teams need to enroll in a 12 step program concerning this repeated behavior.
ReplyDeleteMIB are a class team. They have no real ringers yet are solid I leaguers who play a tight game together. They are beatable but you have to play mistake free, smart hockey. Unlike some teams who have two or three obvious advanced players who control a game, MIB relies on everyone to do their job. I have no problem with those guys.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely looking forward to playing the MIB this week--it will be a good test to how we've developed as a team since last season.
ReplyDeleteWe are a beatable team, and like "Anonymous" said, our schedule may have been light. We lost several at Euless last season, yet still went to the finals. We play the game how we want it to be played and if we win, then it's a plus. We never came to Nytex with the intention of dominating, it just happened. We don't have any 1 person that stands out as a ringer, there are a few great players on our team, but for the most part we are an average I league team. We considered the Silver League, but we decided Sat. nites are better for us. We haven't decided if we'll move up or not next season.
ReplyDeleteSorry if we've raised the bar, hope everyone will help us raise it.
