Bronze League Finals

The Bronze League Finals are set as the Bandits beat the Sens in a shootout to take the Texan Division crown, and MIB beat Rampage 3-1 to take the Ranger Division Crown.

Now the two divison winners will square off against each other Saturday the 11th at the Nytex Sports Centre in North Richland Hills.

This is the first time that either team has been to the Bronze League finals, and the second time the two teams have met.   First time these teams tangled the Bandits won.   Let's hear your predictions.

  3. Spider Monkeys dress out as the Bandits and win it 20-0

  4. Both team fail score on each other but manage to the puck in their own goals creating a negative score. Keg is given to Sens. The only Bronze League team that does not dress ringers.

  5. That's a bold prediction... Let's see if it pays off!

  6. Most teams dress ringers to compensate for the older slower players on the team. The Sens get rid of the older palyers by kicking them off the team. Should this not even everything out? Yet they remain a mediocre team. Who will they blame next?

  7. Damn snap!! Anon 1:14 hit that nail right on the m f'n head!!

  8. Weird that a mediocre team can go all the way to the conference finals into a shootout. Whats that say about all the teams that didn't get there?

  9. Nothing, except that they didn't make it, retard.

  10. MIB will win for sure. They didn't have their regular goalie(bobbywood)when they lost to the Bandits. Our goalie actually played in that game, and while he is really good, MIBs is the best in the league.

    MIB wins 5-2.

MIB played a great game against us. It was very competitive with a decent amount of penalties. I think the refs called to many on both sides and should of let us play a little more rough though. They used the boards like crazy and for whatever reason we didn't adjust well enough to it. We did out shoot them, but with bobbywood being a brick wall, and us having the misfortune of hitting to many posts, it just didn't happen for us. The competitor in me was really pissed at MIB at times, especially for the goal celebrations, but I think in the end they were just out there having a good time and had no intentions of rubbing it in. Hats off to you all MIB. You were the better team.

  11. glad the sens lost, would hate for a team to make it to the keg just based on their ringer.

  12. I've played with some of the Sens at drop in and while Palmer is their best player, they have plenty of other guys who are legit. My opinion anyway.

  13. So, methinks Anonymous at 10:21pm was on a team that the Sens rolled over... In any case, Palmer can finish better than anyone else on the Sens, but every skater on the team chips in. We run plays, the defense stays engaged, everyone sticks up for one another, etc. It'd be a joke to say the Sens only win based on Palmer --a joke, kind of like your pathetic, flaccid "argument," eh Anonymous?

I want to say the level of play has been really great this season. I know at least 30 to 40 players who have made great improvements to their game in the last year. These players come out to practices and open hockey to work on their games and it shows. The fact is the league as a whole has improved. Come out if you can and watch the KEG game should be a good time.

  15. Second Prediction: While “the keg” is being presented to the Sens (for not dressing ringers) Ice Hole, in his cozy butt pirate dress, steals “the keg”and shoves the tap up his ass.

Thanks AON 1:05 for realizing the ridiculous nature of my comment and supporting it! Ha

Thanks AON 1:14 and Ice Hole for biting a plastic lure. Darwin will take care of you.

  16. Very disapointed in my son. Well now he is my son, but I am having a hard time getting use to that. After all Ice Hole was born a female with male genatalia. After the surgery she decided to become a he, which is why all the hostility. She/he doesnt know that men dont have to puff their chest and insult people all the time.

Since Mr. Hole left me, things have been hard, and looks like my son/daughter, ice, is having a hard time too. Please go easy on him/her, and Sens #18, dont confuse him with all that city speak. He/she has the best Haltom City education that I could afford.

  17. What were you thinking?September 7, 2010 at 5:58 PM

OK NYTEX. I realize that ice time is valuable, but so is sanity and order. Way to keep everyone in the dark about the start of the Fall season, then spring it on everyone FOUR days before you decide it needs to start.

Not only that, but the Summer Season isn't even over yet, and you're scheduling practices for the DAY BEFORE, and the DAY OF the championship game.

You've lost your mind this time.

  18. To What Were You Thinking:

How about this fall/winter season we schedule all Bronze League games and practices on Saturdays only? You might have a gap of 6 weeks between games since there are 12 teams now and many activities on Saturdays up here, but at least it will restore sanity and order. Projected Fall and Winter season will start in September and finish around July.

  19. Woah Nytex...way to be defensive about the scheduling. No one said it has to be perfect, but it has gotten a little too out of hand. My biggest complaint about this past season was the lack of information everyone got, or how late the information was that we actually did get. I don't think anyone has a problem with a few games here and there on weekdays. However, we all have families, school, and work too. Give us a full schedule, regular season and playoffs, at the beginning of the season so we can prepare. I realize we are at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to scheduling, and I'm fine with that, but give us something concrete.

  21. Visionary, is what I was thinking.September 13, 2010 at 10:17 PM

So what you're saying, NYTEX, is that all of these Saturday activities you mention are already SCHEDULED? What a concept! A schedule that is laid out in advance!

If you'll re-read my post, I made no mention of events being scheduled on days other than Saturday. What I DID say was that springing it on people four days before you expect them to show up is a little myopic. OK, a LOT myopic.

Just give us a bit of time to make plans. Like you said, other events are already scheduled; just follow their lead.
