"And the Keg goes to..."

MIB lights the lamp three times in the first period and the Bandits never recover. Everyone seemed to play nice and the goal celebrations were quite entertaining. The Bandits appeared to get desperate far too early as their more talented players tried to take the game into their own hands. The Bandits beat MIB earlier in the season, but I guess they peaked too early. "That's the way hockey go."

  1. MIB played a great game. Things obviously went differently than in our first meeting. I heard they had several players missing that game and apparently it made all the difference. Their goalie is really good. Anyways good game and looking forward to seeing you guys again next session.

  2. I will say this, Yes, They did beat us, but it seems awfully coincidently that in now after three seasons with out any serious injures.
In the 2 games with MIB this season we have had 3 players injured to a point that they could not finish the game.
In out first meeting one player was pushed in to boards and ended up breaking his ankle and was done for rest of that season and the next.
Another took a stick across the face. In the Championship game, another player was shoved into the boards and messed up his shoulder.
And oddly enough these were skilled players that were being injured buy the way these guy play.

More players will be bumped up to Silver League because of this type of play per Knute. I know...I speak from experience.

  6. #44...For starters buy is spelled by in the last sentence on your post. Secondly, a lot of your players are unable to skate and therefore fall all the f-ing time....or do they get "tripped"....hmmmm.....Your team members are really good at diving too. They deserve an Oscar!

    WAY TO GO MIB!!!!!!!

  8. #9 - Blackhawks (Over 35 League)September 14, 2010 at 1:18 PM

Ice Hole: I am not #99 in Silver League. #98 Ice Kings Silver League / #9 Blackhawks in Over 35 League at Nytex and #91 at Polar Ice. And yes; the Ice Kings took the Keg and yes the Blackhawks won the "Old Skool" trophy the first Over 35 Season at Nytex. Al Secord NHL Blackhawks was great.

  11. Sorry to hear of the injuries, but my recollection of the MIB - Bandits games were that outside of an unitentional high stick to a face with no face guard; the games were pretty clean and good hockey. You did have a guy go into the boards very hard (ankle?), but he was on his own...going hard into the boards! Both teams play all out. The keg game was closer than the score. I thought both teams had fun. Let's shoot for no one getting hurt - then we all win and go to work Monday morning for our real lives!

  13. #44.. No one is out there to injure! U guys started to get more aggressive as the game went on and sometimes bad things happen. Look at MIB's total season penalties! The Bandit's have a lot of skilled players and it was a tougher game then the scoreboard showed.
